FTP Rules and Instructions

Ftp access is available to all accounts at Inet99. The ftp account is NOT setup by default. There is such a small number of people that use it we wait for the individual customer to request the account be activated. After you have had your account activated the instructions for logging in are as follows.

Note the instruction below are for using the ftp software built into all windows operating systems. There are other software's available that may be easier to use.

click start

click run

type "ftp"

hit enter

A window will open up with a "ftp>" prompt

type "open users.inet99.net"

hit enter

At this time the software is asking for a username, and it will be typed like this "yourusername@users.inet99.net"

hit enter

Now it will be prompting you for your password, and it will be typed like this "yourpassword"

hit enter

It will tell you "User logged in"

At this point in time you are logged into your subdirectory on our server and can place there what you want. To get learn the commands to transfer, delete, rename, etc. just type "help" at the prompt and it will tell you all commands that you can use.

If you are using other software then all you need to know is:

Hostname = users.inet99.net

Username = yourusername@users.inet99.net

Password = yourpassword

And then you will have access.
